Historic chancery building is located at downtown. It was constructed during the British period. It is famous for its Heritage in Yangon.

The historic chancery building is located in downtown Yangon (Rangoon). The building is designed in colonial style of architecture with a monumental look. The project include restoration of structural condition of the building with latest technology.
This post really brought back memories of my own travels. I was in Southeast Asia a few years back, and while I wasn't in Yangon specifically, I visited a few other cities with colonial-era architecture that was clearly in a state of beautiful decay. There was this one old theater in particular, still somehow functioning, but with peeling paint and creaky floorboards that spoke of so many performances and so many lives that had passed through its doors https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bingo_(non-US) It made me think about the layers of history in a place, and how these old buildings are living testaments to all of it.
